hot flashes news

Dimefest 2005 (www.dimefest.com) is scheduled to take place on December 10th at the Ridglea Theater in Fort Worth, Texas.

A description of the event reads: “Dimefest is an annual event hosted by TxLocalMusic.com to celebrate the life of “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott.

His music and his personality meant so much to the local music scene here in Texas, so this is the local music scenes way of giving back to the man who revolutionized Metal Guitar throughout the late 80’s, 90’s and early 2000’s.

The event will be hosted in one of DFW’s finest venues based on the bands that are playing that year. Bands will be selected by Tim of TxLocalMusic.com to give all the bands a chance to play an event where they can pay homage to the man they all respected as a musician for so long.

Money paid at the door, donated, or merchandise sold will all contribute to the final total made at the end of the night to pay the bands for their hard work, the venue for hosting the event, and then the remainder will be donated to a cause (“Dimebag” Darrell Memorial Fund) in Dime’s name.”

Bands scheduled to perform (in order of appearance) include: DERISION, DIESEL, MANDITORY, NECROGAZM, MOD EFFECT, LOCKJAW, PREMENISHEN, FAKTION and ELEMENT EIGHTY.
