Launch Radio Networks has issued the following report from Bruce Simon:

FOREIGNER has had to drop a few upcoming shows because singer Kelly Hansen is ill.

Hansen got hit with a nasty stomach bug back in May, which resulted in acid reflux, and dealing with those two things while playing a lot of shows caused him to get laryngitis.

Hansen said, "Neither the touring or reflux alone would have been an issue, but together they have brought me to the point where it has been decided that this must be dealt with immediately, before causing any permanent damage."

Hansen needs about a week to get better, so Foreigner backed out of a show Tuesday (July 25th) in Harrington, Delaware, and they'll also miss dates in Kansas City, Missouri, today (Thursday, July 27th); Janesville, Wisconsin, tomorrow (Friday, July 28th); and Clearfield, Pennsylvania, next Tuesday (August 1st).

Hansen added, "My sincere apologies go out to all of you who expected to see us over the next few days... We will make every effort possible to come to your area again soon so we can meet and rock together!"

If all goes well, Hansen and Foreigner will be back on stage next Thursday (August 3rd) in Saratoga, California.

Hansen, who used to be in the group HEAVEN & HELL, has been with Foreigner since the early part of 2005.
