KISS - The Forbidden Logo
July 30, 2006, 18 years ago
Die-hard KISS fans are no doubt aware that it's forbidden to wear shirts and sell CDs featuring the original KISS logo in Germany because the "SS" in the band name is similar to the Nazi SS logo used during Hitler's reign. Since 1980 all KISS products sold in Germany have sported an altered logo. THE TRACEELORDS frontman Andy Brings, who is based in Germany, has posted the following news update at his official MySpace page:
"A girl has been interrogated be the police, they took her shirt and went to the shop where she bought it and took the rest of the shirts as well. I mean, come on...these are Rock´n Roll-shirts with no political intention AT ALL! At least my KISS shirts are, and I guess so are yours! Is this really what German police should be dealing with?"Go to this location if you care to comment.
