HEAVEN AND HELL To Play Download?

According to a posting on Spain's MariskalRock.com web site, during Monday night's Classic Rock Roll Of Honour event in London, vocalist Ronnie James Dio revealed that his new band HEAVEN AND HELL - which features original BLACK SABBATH members Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward in a re-run of the Ozzy-less Sabbath line-up of years past - will headline next year's Download Festival.
Dio spent two spells fronting Sabbath, from 1979-1983 and 1991-1992, and the name Heaven And Hell comes from the name of the first Sabbath album Dio was involved with. Rumours that they considered using the nickname coined by disgruntled Ozzy fans back when Dio joined Sabbath the first time - 'the poison dwarf' - are unfounded .
Download Festival will take place at Donington Park, Leicestershire, from Friday 8th until Sunday 10th June.
