SOLEFALD Frontman Checks In
November 23, 2006, 17 years ago
SOLEFALD frontman Cornelius Jakhelln has issued the following update via the group's MySpace page:
"Black For Death: An Icelandic Odyssey Part 2 is now out - definitely - and we as a band are happy to see our work available. We do interviews these days, and are enthusiastic about the good reactions to the album. Metal Hammer Germany has awarded BFD the score 6/7, and Rock Hard Greece has given it 9/10. BFD was ranked 3rd out of 33 albums in Metal Heart's (Germany) soundcheck.Avid internauts will notice that the domains www.solefald.no and www.solefald.org now point to our MySpace profile. Our intention has always been to re-establish a website of our own, but, admittedly, there is not much a website can do that a MySpace profile cannot. Our regular designer Jonas has gone AWOL, so if you know any *skilled* personnel out there who can help us build a website, you are welcome to message us.
Today I did an interview with Darek Kempny of Thrash'Em All (Poland), and we talked about the early days of Solefald. For some reason I came to think of a letter I received from Germany back in 1996. The letter was signed by a young individual who called himself Skral ("brittle", "feeble", "of poor health" in Norwegian) and ended like this: "Continue the war against Christianity!" We for sure have, dear Skral. If your skralness has not killed you yet, drop us a line! Nostalgie inévitable."
Black For Death: An Icelandic Odyssey Part 2 was released on November 14th (13th Europe) via Season of Mist.
The tracklisting for the CD is as follows: 'Red For Fire, Black For Death', 'Queen In The Bay Of Smoke', 'Silver Dwarf', 'Underworld', 'Necrodyssey', 'Allfathers', 'Lokasenna Part 2', 'Loki Trickster God', 'Spoken To The End Of All', 'Dark Waves Dying', 'Lokeasenna Part 3', 'Stagateller'.
