As previously reported, TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA guitarist Chris Caffery (SAVATAGE) is keeping a tour diary for the duration of the east coast company's North American tour. He has issued the following update:

"OK...

On the bus waiting to leave for Toronto. I am frickin' fried! The show in Montreal was so much fun. The crowd was a small one. Well, not tiny, but small compared to what we usually see. This was our first time there, it was better than some places we had played at show #1!

I was screwed out of winning the football pool by my Giants! I took all home teams this week. At the last minute I called my tour manager and switched the Giants to win. If they pulled through I would have only had 3 wrong and been tied for first with a tie breaker at the Monday night game! WAH....frickin' Giants suck!

Everyone was so nice here. The food was great, the city is incredible. I actually wish we had a couple days here!

Lots of Savatage shirts and fans in the crowd. This is how things usually are when we first hit a city with TSO. There is around a 25-50% Savatage fan base in the audience. Then things build and break to the mainstream.

I tried my luck with a little French and wore my Canadiens shirt so the crowd was really getting into it by the middle of the show. We had some tremendous ovations. After 'Figaro' the crowd never stopped clapping. I had to stop them! The way the arena was set up we were close to the overhead lights on the lift. It was snowing up there at the end. That was so much fun!

The signing line hit #195. Great number considering the size of the crowd. All very friendly people. So happy to see us there. I have a feeling Montreal is going to explode next tour!

Thanks for a great night Montreal! We will drive soon to Toronto. Some people ran to the bars. I am too tired to move!"
