After kicking off a world tour in support of their new album, Allegiance, with a massive European run alongside DRAGONFORCE, the Greek metal powerhouse FIREWIND is currently in the midst of an extensive UK run with Dragonforce and ALL THAT REMAINS.

Firewind guitarist Gus G. (ex-DREAM EVIL, NIGHTRAGE, MYSTIC PROPHECY, ARCH ENEMY) and Dragonforce guitarist Herman Li recently sat down together to discuss the European tour, the upcoming UK shows and a bunch of other nonsense.

You can check out the interview now exclusively on the group’s YouTube page (Fire TV) located here.

Firewind are also set to make their US debut at ProgPower USA, which takes place in Atlanta on October 5th - 6th, 2007. The young phenomenon Gus G. is set to make a special appearance at the NAMM show in Anaheim, CA between January 18th - 21st, 2007 to debut his new ESP Guitars signature series. He also recently turned heads with his stunning “Betcha Can’t Play This” feature in Guitar World, while Total Guitar magazine hailed him as metal’s newest guitar sensation.

After catching the metal community’s attention with 2005’s Forged In Fire, the group has returned with Allegiance, a dynamic display of traditional heavy metal with more of an emphasis on speed, technicality and catchy songwriting. This effort marks their first album with new vocalist Apollo Papathanasio (ex-MAJESTIC, TIME REQUIEM) and drummer Mark Cross (ex-HELLOWEEN, METALIUM), whose talents had a prominent impact on the creative process.

Allegiance was mixed at the famed Studio Fredman with the acclaimed Fredrik Nordstrom (HAMMERFALL, ARCH ENEMY, OPETH), and the results are breathtaking.

Allegiance is set for a January 23rd release.
