Chicago dark metal act NOVEMBERS DOOM, who just returned home from a 2-week tour of Europe with labelmates AGALLOCH, have posted a tour diary on their official MySpace page.

Singer Paul Kuhr writes, “We've arrived back home in Chicago, after 2 weeks in Europe. This was simply an amazing time, and eye opening to say the least! We went with very low expectations, and saw the tour as an opportunity to promote the band in new areas. None of us expected the response we received. The European fans are a different breed from America. Some of these fans made huge sacrifices to see the show, from traveling 20 hours by bus, or 10 hours by train, the dedication was astounding.

So, we say 'thank you' to the fans in Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Denmark, and England, and those who traveled from Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Austria, and so many others that elude me at the moment. It was our pleasure, and an honor to play for you, because without you, it wouldn't have been possible for us. We're already planning our return!

A very special thank you goes out to our brothers Agalloch, Saturnus, and Thurisaz. Also, Carl from LSP company, one of the greatest human beings alive, we salute you! Cheers!”

As previoulsy reported, , the band has set February 20th, 2007 as the release date of their forthcoming album, The Novella Reservoir (artwork pictured), via The End. An mp3 of the song 'Drown the Inland Mere' can be found here.

The album - recorded with Chris Djuricic, mixed by Dan Swanö (EDGE OF SANITY, BLOODBATH) and mastered by James Murphy (TESTAMENT, DEATH) - is the follow-up to 2005's The Pale Haunt Departure.

About the album, singer Paul Kuhr says, “The only way to describe The Novella Reservoir is natural progression. With each CD we release, we evolve in style. This time, we took a step forward in speed and aggression, while maintaining the same sound we've had over all 6 CD's. The Pale Haunt Departure was so well received, we knew writing the follow up would be a challenge, and I feel we've successfully created a worthy release."

The tracklisting for The Novella Reservoir is: 'Rain', 'The Novella Reservoir', 'Drown The Inland Mere', 'Twilight Innocence', 'The Voice Of Failure', 'They Were Left To Die', 'Dominate The Human Strain', 'Leaving This'.
