According to a press release, Canadian metallers 3 INCHES OF BLOOD are back in the studio (Vancouver, BC's Armoury Studios [AC/DC, AEROSMITH, LOVERBOY, KISS]) recording their second album for Roadrunner, due for release in spring, 2007.

The yet-to-be-named album will be the band's follow-up to their Roadrunner debut, Advance And Vanquish, and will be produced by SLIPKNOT drummer Joey Jordison and engineered by Dan Turner.

3 Inches Of Blood singer Jamie Hopper comments, "Working with Joey has been awesome so far. He's made a seamless transition onto the 3 Inches Of Blood drinking team and is pushing us harder than ever before. We're coming up with some killer stuff, which we can't wait for everyone to hear."

Says Joey Jordison, "I've been into 3IOB since Battle Cry Under A Winter's Sun. I've wanted to work with them since. Unfortunately, timing didn't work out, but in the spring of 2006, timing was right. The new lineup is lethal, stellar musicians. We honed in on every beat riff and vocal to make this a legendary recording. The musical equivalent to a beheading."

Tracks to appear on the release include: 'Night Marauders', 'Goatrider's Horde', 'Assassins Of The Light' and 'Black Spire'.

3 Inches Of Blood will hit the road with CRADLE OF FILTH.

As previously reported, a new 3 Inches Of Blood demo called 'Goatrider's Horde' is available at this location. The demo was done during a session with Jordison producing this spring in Seattle, WA.
