Fire Consumes Popular New Jersey Metal/Rock Venue

A three-alarm fire broke out and destroyed a popular South Jersey bar early Wednesday morning and sent one man to the hospital with smoke inhalation.

Authorities said the fire started around 1 AM at the Pirates Den, located on the corner of Broadway and Essex streets in Gloucester City.

The bar was situated on the first floor, with apartments on the second and third floors. Officials believe the fire started on the third floor, but did not release a cause.
