ALABAMA THUNDERPUSSY has issued the following update:

"A while back we were asked to be part of an EYEHATEGOD tribute project. Of course we said yes. Eyehategod were a big inspiration to Alabama Thunderpussy early on and we are honored to be a part of this thing.

When we recorded our track, 'Godsong' from In The Name Of Suffering, we were between singers and so there are no vocals. Fortunately, (EHG singer) Mike Williams doesn't appear on the song anyway and so rather than attempting to re-sample the Charlie Manson overdubs that appear on the original track, we decided to let the music speak for itself and focus on trying to do justice to some badass riffs. (And let Ryan rip a few killer leads out as well).

So anyway, you can find out everything you need to know about this upcoming monster at myspace.com/forthesick."

As previously reported, ATP will release their new album, Open Fire, in early March 2007. It will mark the debut of vocalist Kyle Thomas (formerly of EXHORDER and FLOODGATE).
