The legends of rock DEEP PURPLE performed to a packed stadium in Bangalore And for fans, it was clearly a night to remember.
“Deep Purple rocks; I’m a big fan. This is the second time I’m watching them live. I was here in 2001 as well,” says Shivprasad, teacher and Deep Purple fan
Both young and old fans of Deep Purple were in their element as the legends of rock scorched the stage in Bangalore - the only Asia stop of their world tour.
As a teaser to the fans, the band initially stayed away from their popular classics, kicking-off the evening with their latest tracks like 'I Want You-I Need You', 'Into The Fire' And 'Rapture Of The Deep'.
Once they got the audience into the groove, the band painted the stage red - or rather purple - with chartbusters like 'Highway Star', 'Smoke On The Water' and 'Space Truckin''.
On their fourth official visit to India and third to Bangalore, Deep Purple was in India to promote their new album, Rapture Of The Deep. And looking at the response the event got, the promotional tour can be called a runaway success.
