VOLBEAT Acquire GOB SQUAD Guitarist Thomas Bredahl

Last week, Danish metallers VOLBEAT announced their split with guitatist Franz "Hellboss" Gottschalk, stating, " We are sorry to inform you all, that Franz Hellboss is no longer in Volbeat due to different personalities and working methods off stage. We do not wish any mails with questions about this situation. The words have been said."
The band have since issued the following update: "We are happy to inform you all that the new guitar player in Volbeat has been found in Thomas Bredahl from the Danish punk rock band GOB SQUAD (www.gobsquad.dk), which was supporting Volbeat on their Danish tour in 2006. We are looking forward to gettin on the road again and meeting you all in 2007."
As previously reported, pictured is the artwork for Volbeat's forthcoming second album, Rock The Rebel/Metal The Devil, to be issued by Mascot Records in late February or early March, 2007.
The band recorded the album at Jacob Hansen's Hansen studio in Ribe, Denmark.
