CHILDREN OF BODOM - Unreleased Artwork Revealed, Nominated For Finnish Metal Expo Award, New Message Board Online

The official CHILDREN OF BODOM fan site Scythes Of Bodom has issued some unreleased COB artwork created by artist Sami Saramäki, who designed the last few album covers for the band. According to the site this artwork (on the left) may be used by Children Of Bodom in the future. For more examples of Saramäki's work go to this location.
In other news, Children Of Bodom have been nominated for the Best Band award at this year's Finnish Metal Expo, which will be held on February 16th. Otherbands nominated include HIM, AMORPHIS, ENOCHIAN CRESCENT and RYTMIHÄIRIÖ. For more information and to vote for the band go to this location.
In addition, it has been suggested that COB's next album may be pushed from a late December 2007 to an early 2008 release seeing as how it is due to be recorded this summer, thus putting the intended 2007 release too close to Christmas. This has NOT been confirmed and more updates on the situation are expected to be issued soon.

As previously reported, Children Of Bodom will be featured on the Unholy Alliance CD/DVD, set for a February 13th, 2007 release through American Recordings. Material featured on the set, including performances from SLAYER, LAMB OF GOD, MASTODON and THINE EYES BLEED, was recorded on July 13th, 2006 at General Motors Place in Vancouver, BC. The DVD portion includes bonus material such as interviews with band members and backstage footage.
