QUIET RIOT drummer Frankie Banali has issued the following update:

"Very sad news on this Christmas day 2006 with the passing of Mr. JAMES BROWN. Truly another giant in the world of music. It is impossible to calculate all of his monumental contributions. James Brown's music has always been a great influence in my drumming. As a songwriter he formed the basis for some of the greatest grooves, the deepest pockets and funk unequaled. A truly original singer and one of a kind. His impact on popular music history in remarkable and immeasurable. May God rest your soulful soul Mr. Brown.

With sympathy and respect,
