December 28, 2006, 17 years ago
Bassist Barry Sparks (DOKKEN, TED NUGENT) checks in with the following message:
"Hello! As usual I am way overdue for an update on here! First off, I want to thank everybody who helped with our "Liberty" project. The good people at Fort Bliss in El Paso were amazing, we had a great time strumming guitars and meeting some of our bravest most badass, ass kicking soldiers. thank you for risking life and limb for us wimpy civilians!
We then headed across the border to Chihuahua, Mexico.... enter... Mr. El Baracho!!! (that’s me by the way) I want to thank everyone involved there... especially... my band... Kevin, John, Roger... and also Aaron Chavez, Alex and Claudia.
The show there was one of my favorite ever I think! Better yet, we recorded the night for an upcoming live CD!… Depending on how many Coronas I had that night... will determine the out come!
Let’s hope for the best!
On another note.... while racing to the El Paso airport we had no other choice than to pile at least 8 people plus all our gear a goat, two chickens and two Mexican hookers into one single cab! Aaaah its such a glamorous life!
Ok folks thank you very much for supporting me in my eternal quest for the magic of music.... Wow, I sound like Zamfir... or Jon Anderson of YES. Anyhow thank you again and see you on the road in 2007... with Dokken, Ted Nugent or my boys....The Barry Sparks Band!"
