SACRIFICE Frontman: "New Material Is Coming Along Great"
January 16, 2007, 17 years ago
Canadian thrashers SACRIFICE have updated their MySpace page with the following message from frontman/guitarist Rob Urbinati:
Was nice to have (bassist) Scott Watts in Toronto for a week, in from Vancouver. (Drummer) Gus (Pynn), myself and Scott rehearsed a few new songs, a few old ones and the usual Sabbath songs we always play.
New material is coming along great, but slowly and can't wait to have (guitarist) Joe Rico up here in about a month to go over the new stuff too.
Unfortunately, Scott was present at the Air Canada Centre to watch the Vancouver Canucks humiliate our Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday."
In December, Marquee Records reissued Sacrifice's third release, Soldiers Of Misfortune.
This official reissue comes as a double CD in a limited, hand numbered slipcase edition. The set includes a massive booklet with liner notes by Laurent Ramadier, live pictures and personal comments by Joe Rico, Rob Urbinati, Scott Watts and Gus Pynn. 32 songs total, including one complete gig, all remastered from the originals in 24 Bits by Sidney Sohn (NASTY SAVAGE, IRON ANGEL).
