Sanctuary Records UK is reissuing two classic SABBAT titles on March 26th. History Of A Time To Come (1988) and Dreamweaver (1989) will be remastered with live bonus material recorded in East Berlin during 1990.

An excerpt from the press release reads as follows:

"Strange as it may seem now, there was a time when venomous, rapid-fire vocal delivery accompanied by tight, precise and quick changing guitar riffs was an alien combination in the metal landscape but this, with the addition of pagan lyrical themes completed Sabbat’s unique vision of the way metal would be played and proved their style ahead of its time. Unfortunately, like many originators before them, mass acceptance of this style was denied but Andy Sneap (guitar), Martin Walkyier (vocals), Frazer Craske (bass) and Simon Negus (drums) and their albums History Of A Time To Come (1987) and Dreamweaver (1989) are now highly regarded by today’s purveyors of black and thrash metal. At the time, the band’s lack of commercial appeal led to the split of Sabbat with Martin Walkyier leaving to form Skyclad whilst Andy Sneap formed Godsend before becoming a successful record producer. In December 2006, however, Sneap and Walkyier reformed Sabbat and appeared as support to CRADLE OF FILTH at the Kerrang! Hammered at Xmas show at the London Astoria."
