AFTER FOREVER guitarist Sander Gommans has issued the following update on the forthcoming debut from his side-project, HDK:

"Hi everybody!

I spend some great days here in Reuver with Amanda Somerville, having '80s videoclip nights, horror nights, ghost hunting adventures and of course we spend a lot of time working on lyrics and vocal lines;-). A big part of the songs has already been completed by vocal lines and lyrics, some of the stuff turned out more melodic than I planned though it remains AGRESSIVE!

I had already come up with a lot of melodic or agressive vocal parts and subjects of the lyrics, but Amanda's contribution made it far more intense and versatile. Now it's up to me to find a hell of a singer to sing the melodic parts in a convincing way; keep you updated about that! I'm also looking forward to hear the agressive screaming stuff performed by Mike and Patrick, be sure they have to SCREAM THEIR LUNGS OUT!!!

I can already tell you that all the lyrics will be about personal things that bother and irritate me, or have to do with moral issues that interest me. Just because this stuff is based on personal views and feelings, it's amazing how well Amanda wrote those lyrics, nice job! Amanda, maybe you could make a profession out of this?;-)

As previously reported, GOD DETHRONED drummer Arien van Weesenbeek will be the man behind the drum kit for HDK. Vocalists Patrick Savelkoul (CALLENISH CIRCLE) and Mike Scheijen (37 STABWOUNDZ) have also been confirmed for the project, while vocalist/collaborator Amanda Somerville will write the lyrics for the songs.
