KISSKollector.com has issued the following update:

"The new issue of KISS Kollector magazine will (finally) be out this month. We’ve just put the finishing touches upon it so it will go to the printers any day now, so it’s pretty save to say it will be mailed out within two weeks. This issue – no. 58 – was supposed to be the last issue of the final quarter in 2006, but instead it will come out in the first quarter of 2007... We apologize for the delay, and won’t bother you with the many reasons why this unfortunately had to happen but still we feel the need to give you a few of the ‘excuses’. At first it was impossible to get the issue out in November due to our extremely busy schedule (both personally as well as professionally things have become busier than ever as of late last year, so sadly there wasn’t any spare time left to work on the magazine and hardly any time to get the web site updated), then in December with the Holiday Season and all (Christmas, New Years Eve) it turned out too busy a time for the printing company to squeeze the magazine in in all their other printing jobs, then January quickly passed due to our two week skiing holiday in France plus a freaky accident on the highway in Belgium in which we totaled our car being catapulted from a small brick wall along the highway into the guardrail on the other side and back including a full spin over two lanes (but luckily we got out alive so no complaints there!) and here we are in the beginning of February 2007.

In the 16 years of publishing the KISS Kollector magazine it has never happened before that an issue was delayed for no less than three months (although previously there had been some sort of delay once when yours truly ended up in hospital after a motor bike crash), but apparently there’s a first time for everything! Be assured the delay, or the lack of frequent updates on KISS Kollector Online, has nothing to do with a supposed ‘lack’ of KISS (related) news as some of you seem to have rumored over the last few weeks – it’s simply a matter of us not being able to catch up with all the news because there’s only 24 hours in a day (which we regret as we could easily do with 48 hours in a day and still not have time enough to get all the work done). That’s also the reason why over the last few months we decided to not run the news that’s on other KISS sites but reserve our very limited time for KISS (related) news not found on other sites, as we’re certain that most of you check out other KISS sites too for all the latest news and thus still keep yourselves updated with all the KISS news.

But let’s get back to the new issue of KISS Kollector magazine now, as we think that once you put your hands on the new issue later this month you’ll agree that it was worth the wait. As always, the 40 glossy pages are jam packed with cool stuff, lots of interesting stories and great photos from the world of KISS. Issue 58 (the cover is pictured left) includes lots of reports/reviews of Paul Stanley’s Live To Win solo tour, a review of the bestselling KISSology The Ultimate KISS Collection Vol. 1 1974-1977 that came out in the last quarter of last year and for which Paul and Gene were recently awarded with a quintuple Platinum award, an exclusive interview with Rafael Moreira (the lead guitarist from Paul Stanley’s solo band), a review of Lydia Criss’ monstrous coffee-table book Sealed With A KISS, reviews of KISS and KISS related albums, and much more."
