Harrods' "Most Guitarists Simultaneously Playing One Song" Event Cancelled

Organizers have decided to cancel the world record breaking attempt to perform DEEP PURPLE's classic 'Smoke On The Water' with 2000 guitarists at Harrods on Sunday, February 18th. A statement reads as follows:
"Thank you for your interest and support in taking part in the World Record Breaking attempt at Harrods. We regret to inform you, that due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to take the unavoidable decision to cancel the World Record breaking attempt on Sunday 18th February. We are extremely sorry to disappoint those who were looking forward to this event, and do hope that no inconvenience has been caused. Please pass this message on to those who you know were planning to attend and register on the day."
