Original MOTÖRHEAD guitarist Fast Eddie Clarke's band FASTWAY, are confirmed for the 2007 edition of the Sweden Rock Festival, which is scheduled to take place June 6th - 9th in Sölvesborg, Sweden. According to organizers, this will be their only gig in Scandinavia, and they will be playing the same day as his former band says Hardrockinfo.com.
In 1982 after leaving Motörhead, Clarke joined forces with UFO bassist Pete Way. The first Fastway rehearsals included Topper Heddon from THE CLASH on drums, Way on bass and Clarke on guitar. The band advertised in the music press for a drummer and a vocalist and finally settled on Dublin-based singer Dave King (now in FLOGGING MOLLY) and ex-HUMBLE PIE drummer Jerry Shirley. Fastway signed their first record deal with CBS who issued two classic albums from the band: 1983's Fastway and 1984's All Fired Up. Fastway's current lineup is: Fast Eddie Clarke, John "Harv" Harbinson (STORMZONE), Steve Strange (VISAGE) and John McManus (MAMA'S BOYS).
