Sweden's WOLF have issued the following update:
"The proposed show at London's Scala on 8th March, with Wolf, has had to be postponed – the band have issued the following statement to explain the postponement..."Turisas are sorry to announce that due to unforeseen changes to the recording schedule for the new album, due out in May, the band have been forced to postpone their live date at the Scala, Kings Cross, London on Thursday 8th March. The gig will however be re-scheduled for a later date at the same venue. Turisas would like to extend sincere apologies to all disappointed fans and ticketholders."Century Media are currently looking at other options for Wolf to play the UK and will confirm as soon as we can."
Wolf's latest release, The Black Flame, will be released on vinyl. The Swedish underground label, Black Cave Records, with licence from Century Media, will put out a limited edition of 500 copies available through Black Cave mailorder. The limited edition will be signed and numbered by the band. No release date is set at the moment, but will be announced shortly.
Wolf comment about the vinyl release: "There was never a doubt about releasing The Black Flame as a vinyl record, though we've been getting alot of questions regarding the matter, we just wanted to wait for the right time to do it and we feel that we've reached that point now. Vinyl records are very important for us and our fans and it is an important element of the heavy metal community. It's just like denim and leather - we're naked without it."
