hot flashes news fastway

New vocalist John 'Harv' Harbinson of original MOTÖRHEAD guitarist Fast Eddie Clarke's band FASTWAY has issued the following update to MelodicRock.com:

"I met Steve and John McMannus at Mutt Lange's ex-wife's house on Saturday night (I was to meet Eddie next day) and it was then that I was informed by John that due to his work commitments with young singer Abi Ryan he didn't feel he could devote the time required to make Fastway as good as it could be with someone else on bass more available for rehearsals and the shows over the summer.

I was then informed that the bass duties were going to be handled by someone closer to home, the ex-SWEET SAVAGE bass player Raymie Haller. Raymie will suit the band down to the ground and he and Eddie actually have several things in common, one of which is having METALLICA cover their songs over the years and citing both Sweet Savage and Motorhead as major influences on Metallica's formative years!

Hopefully that sorts out the bass playing side of things and I think most of the webzines (including the actual Sweden Rock one) have updated the line-up to include Raymie Haller as playing bass and not John McMannus.

I met Eddie as planned next day and spent a whole day with him sorting out a set list and schedule for rehearsals etc as well as getting further festival's tentatively booked and working out the logistics involved in getting us to Sweden.

I've attached a pic of (l to r) Eddie, Steve and I taken yesterday at Steve's London home and I'm sure you'll agree Eddie looks very fit. Kind regards, Harv."

As previously reported, Fastway are confirmed for the 2007 edition of the Sweden Rock Festival, which is scheduled to take place June 6th - 9th in Sölvesborg, Sweden.

Tickets for Sweden Rock Festival 2007 are now up for sale in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany and England. More details at www.swedenrock.com.
