DOKKEN guitar virtuoso Jon Levin recently checked in with GlamMetal.com for an exclusive update on the release of the Dokken title Lightning Strikes Again.

Dokken performed at Northern Lights in Minnesota over the weekend, and Don Dokken is slated to appear at the Metal Mania Stripped Volume 3 Party at the Key Club in Hollywood on March 7th.

Q: How are you? Dokken will be performing at the Metal Mania Release party on March 7th at the Key Club. Tell me about the set. Will it be acoustic, and what songs are you performing?

A: "Actually, It’s just Don doing a few song on acoustic by himself. We are not playing as a band."

Q: Why do you think these 80's anthems, especially the Dokken songs such as 'Into The Fire' have remained so popular?

A: "Many of the 80’s anthems were easily identifiable to teens who wanted to rebel. Also. anthems are easy to sing along with which makes it easy for all people to identify with quickly. As far as 'Into The Fire' goes, its a great song and quality is timeless."

Q: Dokken recently performed at Northern Lights this past weekend. What were some of the highlights?

A: "We arrived and entered the biggest snowstorm Minnesota has had in the past 10 years... in spite of that the fans still came out to the shows. Nothing can stop a Dokken fan."

Q: What is the status on Lightning Strikes Again? Will it be released this summer, to coincide for a summer tour?

A: "Looks like Lightning Strikes Again will be released in September, but it could be later. We won’t release it until it’s ready. We will do some festivals this summer but the real tour will start in September in Europe, with the US to follow."
