According to Maidenfans.com, a short video clip of IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson at a press conference in Bangalore, India talking about the band's first-ever appearance in country has been posted online at this location. The show took place on Saturday, March 17th at the Palace Grounds in Bangalore.
The following is a partial transcript (Dickinson): "I expect something to happen and obviously, it is going to be something special. I have met people in the lobby of the hotel who said they have waited 17 years for this moment and anytime you wait 17 years, it makes me nervous because I am thinking, 'Oh shit! I hope I don't cock it up tomorrow, the amount of goodwill and the great vibes that are coming out of people.' The people are so happy and anytime people are happy, it makes a great night. So, we are looking forward to all that and we are just going to sweat a lot, yell a lot and play lots of heavy music and have a great time. That's what we are here to do and that's what we do every night."
Iron Maiden's latest album, A Matter Of Life And Death, reached #2 on India's music charts.
