Columbus, Ohio natives AMERICAN DOG have issued the following announcement:

"Effective immediately... (drummer) Keith Pickens will no longer be a member of American Dog.

This has not been an easy decision for him to make.

Currently, Frank Garisto of THE GODZ will be filling in for Keith for the up-coming shows and for the European tour.

A formal announcement of a permanent replacement will be made in the near future.

For those who know Keith, he has been a part of the band since the beginning; he started back in HILLJACK. He and (vocalist/bassist) Michael Hannon brought aboard (guitarist)Steve Theado and American Dog came to be as we know it. Keith has contributed 11 years with the band and for those who have been there all this time, he will truly be missed.

He has been a major part of the band's success with the song writing (as current as the upcoming release of Hard) as well as being a kick-ass drummer with lots of energy.

Keep a look-out for him. He's not one to be in the shadows.

The best of luck to you, Keith! We'll all miss you and we'll be looking forward to seeing and hearing about you with your future gigs."
