SAVATAGE / DOCTOR BUTCHER / TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA guitarist Chris Caffery has issued the following update:

"OK...rehearsal #1 is done!

It went really good for a first rehearsal. Johnny Mac even thought it was one of the smoothest first rehearsals he had experienced. I love playing with him! The live set is going to have a ton of jamming. This I am excited about.

Nick Douglas showed up in the afternoon and we went through the new stuff, Nick had the stuff pretty close to 100% before we even worked. I was exited to hear that!

Macaluso showed up at 8:30 PM and we headed out. J Mac drove, when we arrived at Astoria Soundworks I realized I forgot my guitar. Yup, I had it by the door and just frickin' forgot it! Petty humorous way to start! I apologized to JMac for having to drive back to my house...he thought it was...'charming'. I call it frickin' duh!!!!

We went through 'PMO', 'Edge Of Darkness', '66' and 'Reach Out And Torment Again'. We are going to hit three or four a day 'til we go through everything. Things shoud be fine for the show on the 13th. I am changing a lot of the stuff live to leave more room for the band to improvise and just go off!

It was great to just play for hours and not really have a plan! We just jammed. This is how I want the set to be, really live and to showcase the band as musicians. Macaluso is perfect for this!!!! Paul and Nick are playing great, I am so excited about the band!

Spoke to Henning from METALIUM today, he is going to show up at the Hamburg gig to sing some Sava songs w/us! That should be fun! He was up for the gig to replace Zak, the Germany factor was a big reason why things did not work out. He had also flown over to audition for TSO, Paul loved him. At some point n the future I hope he gets a chance to do some stuff with us for real! He is a great singer and a good friend.

CD comes out soon in Europe, I am excited to get it out and even more excited to get on the road.
