Montreal's VENGEFUL, featuring guitarist/vocalist Jean-Marie Leblanc, alongside past and present members of ATHERETIC, MINDS and DESPISED ICON, will now release their debut full length album, Karma, via Disconcert Music in late May or early June.

A message at the band's website reads: "Hello people. As most of you few followers know by now, we are victims of the eternal curse that plagues a lot of death metal bands. With that said, the album's release date has AGAIN been pushed back to the end of May or early June.

This shit is definitely starting to feel GNR'ish. Makes me wonder why the DIY scene is so strong nowadays.

BUT we have confirmed two shows in that same period. We'll be sharing the stage with ANONYMUS and GHOULUNATICS in Rouyn-Noranda (May 5th). Three of us grew up in that area so it's always a pleasure to perform there. We can't wait to play this show, so expect a very "in your face" set.

Then we also got the opening slot on a date with ROTTING CHRIST in Montreal (June 6th). It'll be interesting to see the black metal crowd's reaction to Vengeful even tough we'll adapt the setlist appropriately. For those of you who come to see us live, never expect the same show (setlist) twice. Next post should present a newly revamped site featuring the album cover for Karma and finally a French version of the site.
