Launch Radio Networks has issued the following report from Howie Edelson:

THE WHO wrap up the final leg of their US tour tonight (Monday, March 26th) in Hollywood, Florida at the Seminole Hard Rock. Lead singer ROGER DALTREY has been soldiering on during the final few shows after battling a viral infection and alarmingly low sodium levels which led to dangerous dehydration. After a few days observation and bed rest Daltrey mustered up the strength to finish the leg.

PETE TOWNSHEND posted on his official blog (petetownshend-whohe.blogspot.com) that, although he and Daltrey had tossed around the idea of the band coming back to the States for a series of dates in August, they've decided to put the tour to bed after wrapping up the European dates in July.

Townshend posted that, "There has been talk of an extension of the current tour in the USA through August. Under the present uncertain circumstances I have decided it might be better to abandon this plan, and get the European shows behind us first. I'm sorry to have raised the hopes of some fans in Vegas and the Northeast, but all good things must come to an end."

Roger Daltrey wasn't the only member of The Who ailing on the band's latest string of dates, Pete Townshend gave an update on his shredded index finger: "It's better at the moment. Actually, I don't think it's to do with my demonstrative guitar style. It's something to do with every now and again, I get a string caught under my index fingernail and it rips it off. And when it's repairing, it can be extremely painful. And what happened was that it was in the middle of repairing and I had to go in and do a show playing finger-style guitar. But it's now healed up and it's okay again now."

The Who will next perform on March 31st at a benefit for the Teenage Cancer Trust at London's Royal Albert Hall. The band kicks off their European tour on May 16th in Lisbon, Portugal.
