DAVE NAVARRO - Femmes & Phantoms; "No Wonder I Have Inherited Some Of That Old School Flamboyance"

THE PANIC CHANNEL / CAMP FREDDY guitarist Dave Navarro has issued the following update:
"'Oh Lord he is at it again!' Last night was Donovan's Femmes & Phantoms show at The Roxy. We all went down to support and hang. It was really amazing. The house was packed and Camp Freddy was certainly represented as me, Billy Morrison, Billy Duffy and Mark McGrath all brought in the night with Dono and crew. My long time friend and x-girlfriend Monet did a couple songs as did Mig Ayesa. The highlight for me was when Paul Williams himself, got up and did a mini set. Paul, is the author of all the music from the show, Phantom Of The Paradise, a film that really had a profound effect on me as a kid. I would go so far as to say that Phantom, Tommy and The Wall are all films and albums that helped forge my ambition to even take up music to begin with. That, and my love for Elton John, Hendrix and KISS. No wonder I have inherited some of that old school flamboyance. At the end of the show, I got up with the band and did 'Search And Destroy' with Monet and 'Suffragette City' with Donovan. It's so much fun being home and just doing these impromptu gigs here and there in the clubs again. I'm thinking it's time for a Circus/TPC show soon!"
