GOREFEST drummer Ed Warby has issued the following studio update:

"Well, today was officially the last day at Excess Studios, but we're still not completely finished. Yesterday we had a thorough listening session and as these things go we ended up with a big list of things to fix. Today was fixing day, which went well. However, Frank still has two leads in his fingers that are dying to get out. So Monday he will return to the studio once more to lay down his magic, and a trusty courier will then transport said magic to the Danish home of Mr Madsen, where JC will already be grunting and growling.

Yesterday was in fact the first time someone outside the band and engineers heard all of the recordings: our tourmistress Naomi. She was very impressed, especially after fearing we'd sacrificed melody for speed and heaviness (which we haven't, we just added some to the mix). For us it was also the first time we heard the whole thing together. It's quite overwhelming, really. I tend to be my/our own worst critic, but I think we've got quite a monster in our hands here. Seriously, there's some stuff that's easily, and I do mean easily among the best we've ever done.

So yeah, almost finished. Almost... Can't wait to hear everything complete with vocals and Tue's obscenely fat mix!"
