Launch Radio Networks has issued the following report from Don Kaye:
RUSH will release Snakes & Arrows, it's first album of all-new material since 2002's Vapor Trails, on May 1st. The disc is the 18th studio effort of the band's 30-plus year career, and guitarist Alex Lifeson told us that it draws from different musical periods throughout the group's history: "I think this record has so much of who we are, our whole historical progress, you can find bits and pieces on this record that relate back to different stages in our lives. But at the same time, the package is fresh and the sound is fresh and contemporary, and very compelling."
'Far Cry', the first single from the album, is climbing the rock radio charts.
Rush will begin a North American tour in support of Snakes & Arrows on June 13th in Atlanta, wrapping up on September 21st in Ottawa, ON (Canada).
The 47-date North American trek will be broken into three legs - June 13th through July 9th; July 18th through August 14th; and August 23rd through September 21st.
Rush drummer Neil Peart has a cameo in the upcoming animated film, Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters, due out on April 13th.
