Stadium rock is coming to the region, with AEROSMITH performing in the Gulf for the first time next month.

The iconic rock band will be performing at the Dubai Exiles Rugby Ground, the same venue hosting the annual Rugby's 7's Tournament, on May 31.

Bahrain-based Mirage Promotions is presenting the concert, which is expected to be attended by more than 20,000 fans from across the region.

"We are absolutely delighted to be hosting Aerosmith, who we know will provide an unforgettable show," said Dubai Exiles Chairman Steve Blackburn.

The show will be Aerosmith's only Middle East performance. The venue and adjacent areas will be capable of handling 10,000 cars and taxis.

Double-decker shuttle bus services will be offered free after the concert and the concert guests can expect the same parking, entrance and exit organisation as for the Rugby 7's.

Catering partner MMI will run multiple food, beverage outlets and special VIP lounge services.

"In the past few years Aerosmith, ROLLING STONES, BON JOVI and U2 have all been rumoured to be touring the Gulf region, so we are naturally excited to finally present a true stadium rock act here," said Mirage Promotions general manager Thomas Ovesen.

Tickets for the concert will soon be available in Bahrain through Hava Java, in the Seef Mall.

Ticket prices are as follows: The Cage Standing AED995 (BD99.5), Front Pit Standing AED295 (BD29.5), Regular Standing AED195 (BD19.5) and Grand Stand Seating AED395 (BD39.5).
