Omaha, Nebraska metallers CELLADOR have canceled their appearance at this weekend's New England Metal & Hardcore Fest. Guitarist Bill Hudson explains: "Unfortunately, we have to let everybody know that we won't be playing at the New England Metal & Hardcore Fest 2007. We're all very disappointed, as we were really looking forward to that show, and we had a great time there last year. Our singer, Michael Gremio, became ill, and today, when we went to pick him up with the bus, he apologized and said he wouldn't be able to go. His voice sounded really raspy and he looked very sick. This show was important for a couple of reasons: First, we'd be introducing our new bass player, Mika Horiuchi, who's just joined the band officially. Many of you already know him, since he filled in for us during our February tour with All That Remains. Now, he's an official member and we can't wait until all of you see what the guy can do. Second, it's Metal Blade's 25th anniversary, and we'd really like to be there and celebrate along with the other artists that will be performing that day. What Metal Blade has done for us since we got signed went beyond our wildest dreams, and it sucks that we can't thank them during the anniversary. I'd like to thank the band NARCOTIC SELF for letting us "borrow" their drummer Rick Halverson (ex-STEPHEN PEARCY). We've been rehearsing with him for the last month to play this show. Although we're not playing the fest, Rick might still help us with the upcoming dates. The spot for the drummer position is still open, so anyone interested should contact us at contact@cellador.com. We'd like to apologize to all the fans and friends that hoped to see us there, but I guarantee we'll make up for it in the near future with a killer new line-up!!!"
