ARCH ENEMY - Report, Photos From Frankfurt Music Messe 07

ARCH ENEMY guitarist Michael Amott has issued the following:
"It’s been a few weeks since this event, but I found some pictures from the Messe and I thought I could post them here along with a few words...In between the recording sessions of the new Arch Enemy album I flew down Frankfurt, Germany for a weekend at the Frankfurt Music Messe. I was invited by ESP guitars to take part in a signing session together with my Greek metal brother Gus G (FIREWIND) and Silenoz and Shagrath from DIMMU BORGIR.
Frankfurt Music Messe is an International trade fair for musical instruments, music software and computer hardware, sheet music and accessories. Every company that you can imagine is there to show off their new products etc. So basically it is like the NAMM show in the U.S.A or the Yokohama Music Fair in Japan.
These shows are so huge and there is such an overwhelming amount of musical equipment and talent at these occasions. It really is too much to take in – I tend to try to talk to as many fans and friends as I can and just hang out! It’s also it’s a great opportunity to say hello thank you to the companies that support me with their great products.
One of the evenings in Frankfurt I hung out with EUROPE members John Norum and Joey Tempest, Dave Mustaine of MEGADETH and Uli Jon Roth (ex- SCORPIONS – and electric guitar master) – quite the eclectic mix of characters wouldn’t you say? Believe me, it was a blast!
The ESP signing session was very long and successful with an overwhelming amount of fans lining up to meet the artists – a great and humbling experience for sure! Talking to the fans gave me a strong feeling that people are actually really ready for a new ARCH ENEMY record… a killer vibe to have while you are in the studio creating a new slab of musical death!!!
Guitar news: ESP is making my white Ninja V available, at least in some territories – check with your local ESP dealer if you are interested. The specs are the same as the black Ninja V, it’s just...eh, white! I am however working on a new, more radically modified Ninja V – more on that later!
I would like to thank the ESP (USA) people Allen, Matt, Jose etc – thanks for bringing me over to the Namm 07 & Messe 07 and for continuing to support me! Cheers!
My thanks also goes to Makoto Suzuki (ESP Japan) – a very patient man who always has time to listen to my guitar ideas! Kanpai!
OK, back to work on the ARCH ENEMY album!
Michael Amott."
