According to New York Magazine, at this year's 2007 Robin Hood benefit, philanthropic hedge-funders paid $400,000 to sing a song with AEROSMITH. The Robin Hood Foundation's grant has enabled Big Brother's and Big Sisters of New York City to expand its services to support for September 11th-affected children. Following September 11th, Big Brothers and Big Sisters developed programs for children who had lost a parent, or who needed special care because they had witnessed the attacks. Social workers provided guidance to the children, family members, and volunteer mentors by making home visits, coordinating group sessions and making referrals.
