AMANDA SOMERVILLE - "Yes, That's Me On KAMELOT's New Album"
May 10, 2007, 17 years ago
Amanda Somerville, known in metal circles for her work with EPICA, AFTER FOREVER and EDGUY as a backing vocalist and collaborator has issued the following update:
"Yes, I fell off the face of the earth for a while, but I am back. I was in the Netherlands again in the meantime (ooo...yep, I'm naughty for not sharing that one!) and working on a million and one things while enjoying the weather. So glad that I'm a natural born multi-tasker.Yesterday, Sascha (Paeth/producer) and I finished up the backing vocals for the new Epica album, so my part in TDC has come to a successful end and I eagerly await its release just as many of you do.
By the way, many of you have been asking if that's me on KAMELOT's new album. Yes! I'm singing in the choir, doing backing vocals and also have several solo parts (I'm the high Ghost voice on the chorus of 'Ghost Opera', for example). And, yes, I also sang in the choirs (I'm the alto voice) on the new AFTER FOREVER album (I stick way out on 'Empty Memories').
And, yes, I'm the blonde girl singing on the Epica DVDs. And, yes, I hope to be coming to play in your country sometime in the future. And the possibility of an AINA II is there, but probably not any time soon."
