ENGEL Ink Deal With Steamhammer/SPV

Gothenburg-based ENGEL have inked a deal with Steamhammer/SPV. Founded by riff-lord Niclas Engelin (formerly of GARDENIAN, IN FLAMES, PASSENGER) in 2005, he quickly added vocalist Mangan Klavborn, guitarist Marcus Sunesson (formerly of THE CROWN) and drummer Mojjo (formerly of LORD BELIAL, RUNEMAGICK). In 2006 bassist Michael Håkansson (formerly of EVERGREY) joined Engel and the band was complete.
Anders Fridén (singer of In Flames) helped his old friend Niclas (both played together in Passenger) record demos and is now assisting in the production of the debut Engel album at Dug Out Studios in Uppsala with Daniel Bergstrand (producer of In Flames, MESHUGGAH).

Engel's debut will be out in fall.
