Australia's The Age reports:
The Bon Scott celebration concerts in AC/DC Lane and Perth not only raised enough money for a statue of the Australian music legend, an additional $50,000 was donated to the Australian music industry charity, Support Act Limited.
As previously reported, according to a rumor at AC/DC News, AC/DC have completed editing video footage for a brand new double DVD set to be released September 2007, which will contain one Bon Scott DVD and one Brian Johnson DVD of AC/DC live in concert. The band has also completed a new album which is scheduled for release January 2008 with a world tour to follow.
Albert Music recently shot down rumors that an album called Strap It On would be out this year.
Meanwhile, producer Kevin Shirley (IRON MAIDEN, LED ZEPPELIN, RUSH) has responded to more rumors that he's producing the band. "It's all rumour," says Shirley. "I'm afraid - I'd love to - they're my second favorite band, after Led Zeppelin, who I'm very proud to have an ongoing relationship with, but Accadacc are working with the guy who's busy with the new FOO FIGHTERS album, I believe.
