PREMONITIONS OF WAR Returns
May 21, 2007, 17 years ago
According to a new press release, one of the heaviest bands of the 2000’s, PREMONITIONS OF WAR, is back with a vengeance. Guitarist Mike Gaytan said, “it’s been a long two years – some members touring in other bands, some spending time in jail. We are currently writing new material and have begun booking shows this summer.”
Premonitions Of War has five appearances booked thus far for the summer with more appearances to follow along with news on a new release. Formed in Toledo, OH in September of 2000, Premonitions Of War has gone through multiple lineups and touring arrangements. For their upcoming shows, the band has called on old friends Sean Vandegrift (formerly of FROM A SECOND STORY WINDOW) and Nate Johnson (Premonitions Of War’s most recent vocalist, currently with THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD) to handle vocal duties. Vandegrift will appear with Premonitions Of War in May and June, while Johnson will make special appearances for the July shows.
Premonitions Of War has released five albums thus far in their career: their self-released Premonitions Of War EP, The True Face Of Panic on Goodfellow Records, the critically acclaimed album Left In Kowloon on Victory Records, the re-recorded re-released split featuring Glorified Dirt and The True Face Of Panic on Metal Blade/Blackmarket, and an EP with their friends in Benumb on Thorp Records. Stay tuned for more information on a new release from Premonitions Of War next year.
