AFTER FOREVER Guitarist SANDER GOMMANS - "This Band Is Not A Static Music Machine That Always Produces The Same Music Within Certain Boundaries"

AFTER FOREVER guitarist Sander Gommans has issued the following comments as part of an ongoing discussion with the fans on the official After Forever forum, responding to criticism of the band's new approach on their self-titled album:
"After Forever decides what fits with the band, no one else. That's a band in its purest form, a band that creates what it feels like. Opinions can differ, but please don't tell me what fits and doesn't fit in After Forever.After Forever is not a static music machine that always produces the same music within certain boundaries. After Forever is a bundle of different inspirations that can vary from time to time. In the end, I decide if a certain style/piece of music fits with our view on music and on the band, and that may be surprising to some fans.
Being a fan of After Forever is a challenge and not always that easy since you have to undergo a lot of changes/surprises. That's why I stay in touch with and appreciate all those loyal fans that are still there. They amaze me with their ability to be open to new things!!!
Don't get me wrong, you can mention things you dislike, but you can't decide what After Forever should or should not do."
As previously reported, After Forever's June 15th show in Dordrecht, Holland at Bibelot is going to be filmed in its entirety. Some footage will be used for their 'Discord' video, and the rest will surface on a future DVD release. fans can win tickets to attend the show at www.platomania.nl.
