Brent Doerner's DECIBEL (former guitarist with HELIX) has announced a management deal with Cam Butler of The Metal Works Productions in Mississauga, ON. According to a band press release, "Cam has been involved with the production end of live performances for many years, and we look forward to working with him. We are also pleased with the involvement of Andy Charrel - a engineer and producer of many different bands like SAGA, DAVID LEE ROTH, PAT TRAVERS etc..."

The band's present self-titled CD was produced by Brent Doerner and recorded at The Bunker studio in Kitchener. It was mastered by Rick Hutt in September 2006 and was quietly released following mastering. The band includes Dan Laurin - drums, Chick Schumilas - guitars, Shane Schedler - guitars/vocals, and Brent Doerner - guitars/vocals. At the time of recording the band did not have a bass player, so they opted to have Mike Benedictis step in.
