Chris Quirarte, drummer for Southern California progressive metallers PRYMARY, has issued the following update:

"Just wanted to put up a little post to let everyone know that the band has been a little quiet and doing well. Despite the lack of updates, our time has been extremely busy and productive in that we have begun writing a new album. So far we have two new songs just about done including a 15 minute opus. We are very excited about this and the creativity just seems to be flowing very smoothly. We are however getting ready to play a couple of warm-up shows before our trip out to Texas for Madfest. We are finalizing the details on a show this June and have booked another show in Orange County. On another note, for those of you that don’t know I am also a member of the band REDEMPTION and we have been chosen to open for DREAM THEATER on there North American tour. This is very exciting news for us all. Mike and Sean will also be involved in this venture by helping with the equipment. Sean (Entrikin) will also be assuming guitar duties for a handful of shows that Nick Van Dyk cannot play. This is a dream come true for me and I am looking forward to getting on the road. Of course there are many people involved who are helping on this tour but I have to give special thanks to Tim, Brenda, and Tim. Jr of Timbo’s drum shop for supporting and sponsoring me in this endeavor. They have agreed to supply me with drumheads, sticks, and our helping me in other matters as well. I really appreciate all they have done for me. If you have a chance and live in the Riverside, CA area, please check them out at www.timbosdrumshop.com or their MySpace page. These are great people who are very knowledgeable about drums and can help with any questions you may have. They have definitely impressed me. We can’t wait to play in Texas again and are very proud to be a part of the first Texas Madfest ever. Hope to see all of you there."
