THE CLASSIC STRUGGLE - "Moving Right Along"
June 15, 2007, 17 years ago
South Carolina-based metal/thrash/hardcore act THE CLASSIC STRUGGLE - who have been on a break in order to bring drummer Tyler Solnosky back to full health after his accident in March, 2006 - have issued the following update, from Tyler:
"Sorry about the lengths between updates, but here goes. We're still currently working on the new album, but things are going well and moving right along. The chemistry between Chris (new guitar player is Chris Grant) and the rest of the group is great; musically and outside of practice. We're sounding more like a band than ever before. Expect some demo tracks this summer and we'll hopefully be in the studio later this year. We've been a little unorganized lately because of everything that has happened in the past year, but we're working on getting things in line. I know we've been saying this for a while, but we're trying to get a full website up and running. When thats up we'll be working on recording a couple demo tracks of some new jams to put on the site and I don't think you'll be disappointed in those.
As for me (Tyler), I've been doing well. I've come a long way since last March, and I'm happy with my progress. Honestly things aren't the same, but I've been able to compensate for my injury and the rest of TCS and I are extremely happy with the way I am playing drums. Don't worry, there's been no change in style, just a general maturing.
Finally, look for us to be playing shows starting this July/August. Sorry its taken so long, but we had to get some things taken care of. Thanks to everyone for sticking behind us and supporting us and myself through all of this shit. I guess shit like that happens when you name your band The Classic Struggle, but don't worry, we'll be back better and stronger than ever. STRUGGLE FOR LIFE!!!"
