PRIDE TIGER - Former 3 INCHES OF BLOOD Members Resurface With "More Melodic" Project

TheChronicleHerald.ca has issued the following report from Stephen Cooke:
There’s a tiger burning bright, in the rock clubs of the night... Vancouver’s PRIDE TIGER, a quartet dedicated to music that moves quickly, leaps upon listeners and sinks its teeth into their eardrums.
The band extends it's hunting grounds on Saturday to the all-day Skateparkfest at Halifax’s all-ages Pavilion, and later on at the Attic with FOLDS OF POLICY and MYLES DECK AND THE FUZZ. There will also be an all-ages appearance at the Coldbrook Lions Hall on Sunday.
Pride Tiger, formed by former members of the West Coast heavy metal outfit 3 INCHES OF BLOOD, is more about swagger and riffs than its predecessor’s jackhammer rhythms and epic tales of battle, but for former 3 Inches guitarists Bob Froese and Sunny Dhak - now with drummer/vocalist Matt Wood and bassist Mike Payette - the differences just point out there’s more to hard rock than loud and fast.
"It was a pretty smooth transition, actually kind of a blur," Froese said just before heading out on the trek from Toronto to Sudbury. "It seems like we were doing the 3 Inches of Blood thing yesterday, but for me and Sunny, this is sort of what we were going for with that band, and what we always wanted to play was more melodic hard rock-influenced music."We just put the band together, and within a year we were signed to EMI and have just been touring ever since."
