EPICA Guitarist MARK JANSEN Completes World Wide Fund For Nature Bicycle Marathon
July 8, 2007, 17 years ago
EPICA have issued the following update:
"We are very proud to announce that yesterday Mark (Jansen/guitars, vocals) finished his benefit cycle marathon the Marmotte. The ride of 174 km took him an astonishing 12 hours and according to Mark this was the heaviest ride he ever did. How much he raised for the WWF exactly has to be calculated now, but we hope to announce it soon. Mark wants to thank everybody who has sponsored him. Without your faith this wouldn’t have been possible!"As previously reported, because of the marathon Jansen was unable to play the Trailerpop Festival in Rotterdam, Holland. OCEANS OF SADNESS vocalist Tijs Vanneste covered for him for the gig.
Epica have uploaded an audio sample of their new song 'Menace Of Vanity' on their official MySpage page. Go to this location. The track is taken from the band's forthcoming album, The Divine Conspiracy, due to be released through Nuclear Blast on September 7th in North America and September 10th in Europe.
As previously reported, The Divine Conspiracy features the following tracklisting: 'Indigo' (Prologue), 'The Obsessive Devotion', 'Menace Of Vanity', 'Chasing The Dragon', 'Never Enough', 'La'fetach Chatat Rovetz (The Final Embrace)', 'Death Of A Dream (The Embrace That Smothers - Part VII)', 'Fools Of Damnation (The Embrace That Smothers - Part VIII)', 'Living A Lie (The Embrace That Smothers - Part IX)', 'Beyond Belief', 'Safeguard To Paradise', 'Sancta Terra', 'The Divine Conspiracy'.
