Vancouver, BC's 3 INCHES OF BLOOD makes it's Billboard debut this week with the new album Fire Up The Blades (Roadrunner), landing at #147 on the Top 200. In addition, the band soars to #2 on both the top new artist and current hard music charts, as well as #20 on the top hard music chart, shifting nearly 6,000 units.
Recorded at Vancouver's legendary Armoury Studios (AC/DC, KISS) and Mushroom Studios (QUEENSRŸCHE) with producer Joey Jordison (SLIPKNOT) and engineer Dan Turner, Fire Up The Blades has been referred to as “a thrash-fest" that features "a raging JUDAS PRIEST-meets-SLAYER attack” and delivers a potent blend of both metal’s beloved past and the forward-thinking enthusiasm of its future.
The band are currently in their 4th week at #1 metal radio, taking over the top position on the CMJ Loud Rock, FMQB Metal Detector and the MediaGuide Metal Specialty charts simultaneously - proving that fans of real metal will, and have, made their voice known.
In addition to metal fans across the country proving their love of 3 Inches Of Blood's devastating mix of mind-boggling musical proficiency, skyscraping vocal acrobatics and lyrical themes rife with fantastical imagery, the band has found an enthusiast in legendary Judas Priest vocalist ROB HALFORD. Known quite simply as the "Metal God", Halford is known for his towering vocals and long-time championing of all things metal. Appearing on WDHA's Metal Mania show, Halford called in espousing his love for 3IOB, whose sound is often compared to that of the mighty PRIEST themselves.

3 Inches Of Blood will be one of Ozzfest 2007’s featured acts and have also announced a slew of "Off-fest" shows that will see them joining forces with LAMB OF GOD, HATEBREED and BEHEMOTH for upwards of twenty live dates that promise to be massive in scope.
