Legendary Canadian band, SAGA, enters Sound Image studio in Los Angeles this week to begin work on their 19th studio album, currently titled 10,000 Days. After 30 years of fronting the band, vocalist Michael Sadler has decided this will be his last chapter with SAGA.

"As I think about it," Michael explains, "I’ve spent more than half of my life focused on my career. Whether traveling or in the studio, I simply haven’t spent a great deal of time at home, wherever that may have been at the time, over the last 30 years!"
"I suppose what I’m trying to say is, I’ve decided to shift my focus to what now matters most to me and something that has eluded me since we began the band…that something is my family!"

Forming in 1977, Saga was launched into rock stardom in 1983 when MTV started spinning the singles to their fourth album, World's Apart. 'On The Loose' proved to be their breakthrough in America and peaked at #26 on the Billboard Charts in March of 1983. 'Wind Him Up' became the second single and peaking at #64 on Billboard the following month.

The band has been touring and releasing albums ever since. Look for SAGA's 10,000 Days in stores in October 2007 via InsideOut Music.
