Thousands of rock and metal fans have flooded Pryor for what could be the biggest concert event of the summer, Rocklahoma. News On 6 anchor Omar Villafranca reports it’s like an 80s flashback. Just a few bands taking the stage include POISON, DOKKEN, TWISTED SISTER, and VINCE NEIL of MÖTLEY CRÜE, and organizers are expecting more than 60,000 people to show up.

Loud music and long hair, its two signs that Rocklahoma has kicked off. On Thursday, day one of the concert drew thousands of fans from all over the country. Todd and Sebastian have never been to Oklahoma, but they flew in from Maryland just for the concert.

"He just showed me the website and I said lets go, he's the only one goofy enough to do it," said rock fan Todd.

More than 30 hair bands from the '80s will headline the four day show. Thousands of fans camped out onsite will eat, sleep and dream rock-n-roll all weekend. Jeff and Dan both skipped work so they could hear the music they first heard when they were in diapers.

"Music is good music, it doesn't matter how old it is," said Rocklahoma attendee Jeff Anderson. "I was raised on this stuff and this is what I know, it's what I love."

"Eighty's rock is just have a good time, party, it's good lyrics, good guitar riffs, we don't have that anymore. It's just way better," said rock fan Dan Adams.

Older fans say this music is timeless, and the children of the 80s say they wouldn't miss it for the world.
